I am absolutely OVERWHELMED by all the support I have received from our community of AWESOME people! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We appreciate all of the love and feel your hugs and prayers surrounding us!
In January, I became a co-leader of a very talented and amazing group of high school senior girls at our church, Sun Valley. These last few weeks they have all been sending scriptures to support the group throughout the week. These girls and the scriptures they have been sending have touched me and they have NO IDEA how they are affecting me! On one morning after I had awoken at 1am and was not able to calm my mind and go back to sleep, the scripture sent was “Come to Me all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Hello God! He knew exactly what I needed to hear.
Another scripture sent was “He kept them safe, so they were not afraid.” Psalms 78:53
Wow! This one came last Friday when we were meeting with my doctor! The girls do not yet know my diagnosis but my Faith-Filled and amazing co-leader and I will tell them this Sunday night and I can’t wait to tell them how their scriptures have touched me (through my tears of course). I have written them all down in a journal so on my difficult days, I can reference them! I wish at age 18 I was as solid in my faith as these girls are and I fully believe God brought me to co-lead these girls more to help me through this difficult journey and solidify my faith in the Word than to help them through their last few months before they graduate.
So if you have any scripture you think we need to be reminded of, please post on my blog, text me, message me, however you choose and it will go into my journal (again, another feat that I started a journal…remember, I don’t write!)
So now onto the good news! I received a call from my doctor’s office yesterday and my genetic testing was NEGATIVE!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!! We can go on with my surgery as planned! Whoo Hoo!!! Just what we needed to hear!
We are headed to Vegas this weekend with good friends, a much needed retreat, especially after the last few weeks!
“An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.” Proverbs 12:25
Be Kind this week and make someone’s day. I know the kind words we have received have cheered me up!
xoxo
Wonderful!!!! All the prayers are working!!!!!
