How many times have you had a plan and then something changes and your plan is derailed? This has happened to me countless times in my life, and still I press on. I did not PLAN my 2018 the way it has started out. I did not PLAN on getting cancer. I did not PLAN to ever have to say to people Yes, I have breast cancer. I did not PLAN to ever have to talk about chemotherapy or radiation in MY life. But God’s PLAN is bigger than mine!
So here is THE PLAN for now.
On Friday, March 30th, I will have the SAVI device implanted for brachytherapy (focal radiation). On Monday, April 2nd, I will begin radiation twice daily for five days. I should not get sick from the radiation, but will be very tired for a few weeks. I will be relegated to baths and cannot do my hair for 8 days…so any of you talented people that want to practice a style on me, come on over! Haha!
Because of this, another meal train has been graciously started (for those of you who have asked) and the link is on our Facebook page. These meals have been a HUGE blessing to our family and again, are so very appreciated! I cannot put into words how gracious we are!
My PLAN is that I will not need chemotherapy, but should have the results of the test back by April 2nd. So please keep praying.
And then my PLAN is to move forward with my life with whatever God has PLANNED for me!
I will still have some hurdles to jump throughout the year, but I know whatever is PLANNED is in God’s hands, and not mine…apparently!!! And I will stay strong and fight this!
Thanks for all your prayers and support! I feel great (just tired) and PLAN to put this all behind me and look forward to our future.
“For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.” Jeremiah 29:11-12
